This place had amazing positive zen energy cause of the wall...
This place had amazing positive zen energy cause of the wall art on the walls and the set up inside and outside. The big room with one Queen and a full size mattress was great for four of us to spend the weekend in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they let me climb their tree to pick fruit. We all we had a good experience at Ayo Hometel!
Bathroom sink drain old rusted plumbing leaked and splashed water on the floor everytime you use the sink. That isn't sanitary splashing on your feet. New plumbing is needed so sink won't leak.

Good only for one night before or after airport
Nice place. I felt comfortable there.
Location. You have to take taxi to the airport which is about 500 pesos or jeepney which is cheap but long and only if you with backpack.

Ayo Homtel had a nice homey, private feel to it.
Ayo Homtel had a nice homey, private feel to it. I loved all the greenery next to the tables out front, and the room was very comfortable! The openness of the space made it easy to meet other travelers. I would definitely stay at the Ayo Homtel upon my next visit to the Philippines. Thanks for making my stay so awesome!

I liked how it wasn't super busy and I didn't have...
I liked how it wasn't super busy and I didn't have too many people in the mixed room. They also provided towels which is a bonus. The main common room is nice as well.
Bathrooms need to be updated and no hot water. I had a very weird experience with the owners. The man yelled at me for taking one step in the hostel with my shoes on as soon as I got there. I didn't see the sign to take them off and it was pouring raining so I tried to get in quickly. And apparently does this to everyone, rain or shine lol no shoes. It wasn't really a nice way to be greeted. I started by really disliking him. His questions even sounded extremely demanding. Every time I asked them a question I felt as though I was bugging them instead of being warmly helped. They were kinda nice though sometimes. I had weird feelings about these people. I think maybe they were good people but didn't know how simple hospitality greetings/the way to talk to guests. They could probably work on being a bit nicer to the guests, or welcoming. Like I said, I do think that are good people deep down.
